Hydraulic Servo Cylinder Design and Control
    January 2, 2023

High-power, precise and fast-moving test systems and integrated domestic servo cylinders for the iron and steel industry have been developed. The integration of the system involves the creation of control algorithms after the mechanical processes, the production of the domestic electronic card (drive) and interface creation of the control algorithms. Derivatives of the servo system developed can be used in wind turbines, shipyards, lifting platforms, aviation, and their properties are improved. As a result of the decisive selection, control algorithms were created by dynamic analysis of the system. The mathematical models of the hydraulic-servo system within the scope of the project and the algorithms to be used in system position control are included. As a result of the studies, it was evaluated that the PID controller would be suitable for the system. It was observed that the position control of the system obtained by the tests performed at different frequencies (f = 1-40Hz) with the step signal response graphics was working in the corresponding frequency band. In particular, it has been confirmed that there is no loss of amplitude for the sine reference signals applied up to 8Hz. For frequencies greater than 8Hz, as the frequency increased, the amplitude loss increased, but the system continued to operate. Although a PID-based control algorithm is used in this study, the control software allows different control methods to be implemented.
